Cardi B Mocked Over Excuse for Not Fasting: “I Start Hearing Voices”
According to the CinemaDrame News Agency, Cardi B’s explanation for why she cannot fast during Ramadan has turned into a viral comedic moment. The 33-year-old American rapper shared a live video on Instagram praising Muslims for their commitment to Islamic teachings while jokingly explaining her own inability to participate in fasting.
Cardi B admitted she lacks the stamina to abstain from food and drink, stating: “I’m telling you, to the Muslims that be fasting for Ramadan, God knew not to make me Muslim. If I wake up and I don’t eat for three hours, I get a headache and I start hearing voices.”
She further explained that being Muslim requires a level of strength and dedication that she simply doesn’t possess. The singer added that going more than three hours without food triggers a volatile mood: “When I wake up, I got like a three-hour limit; if I don’t eat three hours after I wake up, I start hearing voices. I start cursing people out.”
“I don’t have the strength to be a Muslim,” she continued. “When I get hungry, I better not be around no kids… Muslims sacrifice food, water, and everything for God. They love their God. I love when people show loyalty to their Creator.”
The rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, recently traveled to Saudi Arabia and mentioned she was considering residency in the country.
